Et voilà ! few hours before the Songkran Festival my website got a brand new design based on WordPress publishing tool & Travelogue template. It is still not perfect and fully under control as it gets some time to feel familiar with PHP language but I still have hope.

Tricks & tips are of course most welcome

    Excellent indeed. You just caught me by a few weeks because I too intend to overhaul and enhance my website. Selected people will be informed in due time about the beginning of the site (anagami.org).

    Regarding PHP, I just bought “PHP5 and MySQL 5″ from CampusPress (ISBN 2744018872). I higly recommend it.

    Cheers,
    Pit :)

    ++++

    Cedric, what made you choose WordPress rather than any other blog template?

    I downloaded b2evolution, bBlog, drupal, gm, serendipity, textpattern, and intend to test them locally.

    The company hosting Nomadcom.net provides the following ones: b2evolution, Nucleus, pMachine Free & Wordpress. I have installed all of them just to have a look and then started to look about “ready-made” templates as well as some additional plugins, such the possibility to create some posting using email and MMS.

    The choice of Wordpress came out naturally when I found some plugins such a wysiwig interface, an email/MMS posting tool and an API which links Wordpress directly with Coppermine (which is used for the Gallery).

    Can I leave a blog on your site or can I just comment yours’?

    Feel free to create a new Post, no problem at all. As they say here around… Welcoooooomme ;-)
